Pagosa Springs is a location that differs from many that you would normally go to see, this unique town has stunning mountain views, right at the base of the Continental Divide.  There are 300 days of sunshine making this a wonderful destination for those that want to enjoy the mountain views and still have the opportunity to ski in the wonderful snow covered mountains.

Wolf Creek ski area has great deep powder for you to enjoy during the winter months. Not only can you ski in the winter but you can enjoy hiking, biking, horseback riding and fly fishing in the San Juans in the summer.  

Enjoy Whitewater rafting, golfing, rock climbing, boating on the Navajo Lake, 4 wheeling and elk hunting are more of the things that will keep your vacation fresh while in Pagosa Springs.

The snowfall in the area amounts to an average of 465 inches on the mountain annually.  The community has a welcoming, if laid back, atmosphere that will welcome those that want to enjoy a truly great ski experience with gracious people in the community at the end of the day.  Maybe it isn’t the slopes that you want but the opportunity to do some quality cross country skiing or snowboarding.  Whatever your desire for winter activities are you will find them readily available in Pagosa Springs.

Take a wonderful sleigh ride at one of the local providers or sit back in the hot springs that the area is known for to regenerate your body.  Of course you can go ice fishing at Pagosa Lakes and see if you can catch your limit.

Visualize yourself on a beautiful hike in the fall with the trees changing their colors to add to the beauty of the stunning mountains.  Take some time to go fly fishing for those elusive rainbow trout or go 4 wheeling or mountain biking.  Deer hunting and elk hunting area also a great activity for the fall.

The spring brings the Fiber Festival to the community.  This celebration showcases  fiber-related businesses such as spinning, weaving, knitting, felting and designing patterns while providing the local livestock raisers an opportunity to promote and sell their products.

During ths summer you may enjoy attending the Pagosa Folk and Bluegrass Festival in June.  In July you can enjoy the 4th of July parade and fireworks/carnival and park to park art show.  Don’t miss the Red Ryder Rodeo, Busted Spur, and Little Britches Rodeo Series.
